The start of a new year always presents opportunities that include the chance to begin fresh, to build on what worked and to reengineer what needs to evolve. It’s also a meaningful moment to reflect on who truly represents the heartbeat of business in our country: You!

As a women-owned, small and minority business, you fuel the economic engine that drives job creation, supports thriving communities and generates the revenue that sustains our nation. Your leadership, resilience and innovation remain essential to strengthening the business landscape of today and tomorrow.

Leading with Purpose

Your leadership should shine through your actions, your ideas and your vision. Your staff, peers, customers and community look to you for direction, but it is your innovative spirit that sets the pace. Our corporate members are seeking supplier partners who are ready to rise to the next level. So, ask yourself:

• Are you prepared to meet the requirements outlined in their Requests for Proposals?
• How strong and secure are your cybersecurity protocols, sustainability processes and team engagements? And do they align with the expectations of your ideal customers?
• Are you or your staff showing up? Are you taking advantage of key programs offered by organizations like GWBC® to meet your next business partner or client?
• Get involved in a committee or attend GWBC’s and WBENC’s programs/events designed for you and to increase your brand’s visibility. Remember if you are not present, it is like winking in the dark.
• Are you setting realistic yet strategic goals that move you closer to your BHAG (Big, Huge, Audacious Goal)?
